§ 14-20. Chief to be appointed; report to town manager.

The chief shall be appointed by the town manager and have control over the police department. The chief shall keep the town manager informed of the department's activities and make such reports that the manager may from time to time require, and he shall perform such other duties as may be required of him by the manager.
